Wishlists & gifts

What guests and hosts see

Claiming exists to stop two people buying the same thing. It is designed to give away as little else as possible.

What guests see

Each item shows a status - available, partly claimed, fully claimed or fully funded - so nobody buys something that is already covered. A guest sees which items they themselves reserved, and can cancel their own reservation - from their personal invitation link on any device, not only the browser they reserved it in. They do not see who else claimed what.

What you see

On your own wishlist you can filter by open and claimed items, and for group gifts see how much has been pledged against the goal. Reservations are recorded with the name the guest gave, so you know who to thank.

If you would rather be surprised, do not open the wishlist view before the day. Nothing in kutsu emails you when an item is claimed.

When the list appears

You decide whether guests see the wishlist at all, and whether it waits until they have said yes. That switch is on the link between the wishlist and the event - see Build a wishlist.
